The problem though with using infra-red detection on a roof is that you can only locate the position of the leak when the roof is cool and not wet.
A couple of years ago a totally new system was developed and patented which measures electrical capacitance and detects and pinpoints any leaking in a flat roof in all weathers and temperatures.
There is no need to wait for the building to cool or the weather to improve.
